BODY OF REVERBS
“New ritual for contemporary bodies”
Installation by Servadio that involves tattooing, sound and space in an unique reverberating body
A contemporary ritual where tattoo turns into sound and vibrating space.
B.O.R. is a sonified and amplified tattoo. A free improvisation for tattooer and musician on a third person.
Understanding sound as an experience amplifier B.O.R. can be a public performance, but born as a practice for the singular self.
A technique of subjective reconfiguration through pain, sound and a permanent mark on the body.
Not a spectacularization of a tattoo, but an exploration into new possibilities.

BODY OF REVERBS AT "META, META!" GALLERY M35 LUCERN
This edition of B.O.R. during Meta, Meta!, hosted by M35 Galerie unifies different techniques, combining printmaking and sound recording onto an artifact.
The cassettes here exposed at Meta, Meta! exhibition are a documentation of the ritual, practiced during the days before the opening. The sounds were recorded live directly on tape, the artwork created transferring the fresh tattoo to paper and printed with the etching press.
Tattoo/sound/printmaking create an unique body of work.
